Lori Wickelhaus Sets the Record Straight

Lori Wickelhaus of 16 & Pregnant took to her Facebook this weekend to set the record straight about her mom. People have been saying that Lori’s mother is a bitch because of the way she acted on the show. Lori’s mom did come off unsupportive of her daughter keeping the baby on 16 & Pregnant. She was very against Lori and Cory keeping baby Aidan and was not afraid to voice her opinion on the subject. I think that it was her pressuring Lori to give the baby up that ultimately led to Lori’s decision to put Aidan up for adoption.

Fans are also saying that Lori should have kept Aidan and just let Cory raise him. If you remember, Cory was very upset that Lori chose to put Aidan up for adoption. Lori claims this is unrealistic and I must agree. Cory didn’t seem like he was ready to be a father.

Lori says that Aidan is with the best parents and she is happy with her decision.

  1. The Lori girl seemed to be the most troubled and slow of any of the trainwrecks on this show. Even if her mom pressured her into the decision, she definetly would not have been "raising" her child, instead her mother would have. It makes sense and seems right in that case that her mother had a large part in the decision. The baby also is far better off without being raised by a girl who barely seems able to take care of herself.

  2. I am sorry, but I am so upset with Lori's mother, if she was more supportive in the chose and supportive of Lori in ither decision then it would not have been so stressfull on her. I can understand the stress in having a teen age daughter who is pregneat, however i found that she was one sided and even rude about what she wanted lori to do then what lori wanted to do. I am glade that the baby has a wanderful family now, but a teenager can raise a child with SUPPORT and LOVE from their parents, I have seen many sucessfull stories, its hard but I found that she had no support in the other choice of keeping the child, it was one sided.

  3. Lori's mom was not a bitch she was a controlling and manipulative emotional black mailer. If I knew Lori was my adoptive daughter and I saw this crap on TV I would hunt down and bitch slap the adoptive mother.
The only reason Lori is so dependent is because they made her that way. At her age she would be able to do more on her own. Instead shes sheltered in a Catholic school with closed minded wicked parents. It is ok. They will be judged. In the meantime if I ever run into them Ill call her what I think of her. To her face.

  4. I agree with a previous commenter in that Lori didnt seem to be able to take care of herself that well, let alone take care of a baby. Lori seemed to want to do whatever the person nearest to her told her to do. When her friends wanted to throw her a baby shower, she wanted to keep the baby but when she visited an open adoption family, she was more open to adoption.

For the good of the baby, I'm glad that he has a safe home and a supportive family. It is an incredibly difficult decision but it really is for the best of the baby.

  5. Don't blame Lori's mother. Lori didn't have any plan for her and her baby after Cory told her that she couldn't move in to his place (because of his roomie, okay.....). Besides, Cory said he's not ready to be a father, making it clear he didn't want to raise a child. However, later he complained about adoption... Adoption was clearly a good decision for all of them.

  6. im so sorry but loris episode is on air and i truly feel sorry for her and cory. her momther is nothing but a jealous bitch who is sad that her adopted daughter was able to get pregnant and she wasn't able to !!!!! by setting all those dead lines the mother set for lori to make her decision shows that she is a horrible mother for making her daughter set a dead line for her daughter to give up her child. he parenting rights should be revoked!!!

  7. Although I didn't like how she was pressured into the decision, she CLEARLY wasn't able to parent that kid. So the child is better off, which is all that matters...

  8. When I first saw the show, I felt her mom was in the wrong but like anything, you never know the true story when watching someone's life unfold on tv. Anyway, I ended up talked to Lori over the span of a couple days. I remember seeing a part of the show that her father said something about her not doing well in school. I asked Lori about that and she said she didn't like school and if she didn't like something, she won't do it. So, that was a red flag right there. I hope her attitude has changed because from what I know, she went to college and she did express an interest in going to collge when I talked to her. I told her college is more work than highschool but she never acknowledged my comment in our convo..

  9. I honestly feel that Lori's mom was simply jealous of Lori's ability to conceive. Yup, call it harsh all you want. I also feel that her pregnancy was probably an "embarrassment" to them, so they had to make it right any way that they could. I didn't like this episode and I didn't like how she was pressured to give this baby away. Any woman who'd carried a child in her womb would know that it would be very hard to give the baby away. But we know Lor's mom doesn't know about that at ALL.

  10. Ok I'm sorry but I'm was a 15 year old mother my parents didn't like the fact I got pregnant either but it was her decision not her mother she could have simply said she created that baby she was going to raise it because the After math of the whole thing is her mother would have been right there beside her and if not you no what oh well get a job I had to Corey would have helped her out he wasn't ready in the begging no but by the end he was trying to get a job and everything and he loved his child thats what makes a parent the fact of trying ur hardest as well as the love u have for ur child but also to set the record straight college my butt she is in Davis west Virginia working at Canaan valley lodge and worrying about which guy she can date that wont know she was on the show so no for someone to first give up something that some people never get the chance to hold and then say it was because of her age well like I said I was 15 and I am now 21 I have buckled down raised my baby and just lost one other baby due to the fact that my body was too stressed with college being a wife. Working and raising my beautiful daughter so i don't wanna hear the age thing at all and the other thing to lie and say she is going to college and everything else when the program she is in here is for drug and alcohol rehibilitation For troubled teens I have no respect for nor ever will.

Signed a very young teen mother

    1. The fact that you cant even type out a coherent sentence, and at the same time talking about how you are competent enough to parent a child is laughable. I honestly cant tell if you are trolling or not. You are that stupid. I feel sorry for your daughter

  11. Well…I just found this many many years into the future. Seeing these comments is like going on a Time Machine, but without the ability to change the unfortunate past. A few years ago Lori got arrested and sentenced for distributing child pornography. Rarer for a woman to do than a man but she pleaded guilty to it. So I guess you can no longer say her adoptive mother was in the wrong for pressuring adoption.
